Through this workshop, participants will experience and focus on creating a holiday inspired ikebana arrangement. A glass container will be provided and participants will create an arrangement in the nageire style.  Nageire means “thrown in” and is always arranged in a tall, upright container.  The cross-bar fixture also known as jumonji- dome is the method that will be used to fix the arrangement.  Seasonal plant materials with holiday colors such as red, green, and white will be selected.   Extra décor items can be inserted into the arrangement to give it that extra holiday spirit such as glittery balls, berries, fans, and/or spirals.  At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to take home their full arrangement in a glass container.
